HOW IT STARTED

As a Training & Development Manager in the field of human resources at a college in Boston, I stumbled upon my true calling. While preparing for my HR certification, a moment of clarity struck: my passion did not lie in HR. This realization wasn't daunting; instead, it was a liberating discovery that guided me towards my true passion.

A serendipitous opportunity presented itself when my Vice President planned a vacation. I seized this chance to "redesign" her office. Our team meetings, often cramped in her space, sparked the idea that the office layout could be optimized for our large group. Despite her initial hesitance, I embarked on a transformative journey, coordinating with the college's tradespeople to construct and mount elegant wall shelving. The transformation continued with a reimagined floor plan. Upon her return, her office was not just a workspace but a testament to functional design. Her words, “You should do this for a living,” resonated deeply, marking my Oprah "Aha Moment."

This epiphany was the catalyst for change. After a few more roles in corporate HR, the vision for Dressing Rooms Interiors Studio took shape. In 2011, the studio was brought to life, marking the beginning of telling stories through objects.
