Leon Saulter (1908 - 1986) was known as a painter and sculptor. This is an original pen and ink line drawing of what looks one nun bringing flowers to a resting nun.

Signed by the artist and dated 1968. This piece was acquired from a collector of Leon Saulter’s work in London. Some wear to silver wood frame consistent with age.

About the Artist

Born in Poland on March 31, 1908. By the 1930s Saulter was active on the Federal Art Project while a resident of Los Angeles. He died there on Sept. 24, 1986.
