My Very First Shop

In case you have been incognito on social media lately, you may have missed that I'm opening up a studio shop! While it may seem all of a sudden (and it is) it's a dream I've had for 5 years now.  Long story short, we found a space almost 3 weeks ago and it was the right fit.

At the beginning of 2015, I started writing down all my ideas in one book for my future store.  Over the last several months I began sharing my desire for a shop publicly via social media to speak it into existence. On my list of 15 characteristics I wanted my future shop to have, 13 of the 15 were met!  What are the chances?!?

Once I realized that this dream may come true, I had a little anxiety attack and couldn't sleep. I was worried about giving up my weekends and holidays and trying to balance everything. But the following morning a sense of peace fell over me.  This is something that I've wanted for so long that I have to give it a go - right?

Once the lease was signed, everything started to fall into place.  From my new business cards arriving, finding painters in a pinch and the studio sign going up (it had challenges but it's good now).  The ease of all these things continued to echo my belief that this is the right space at the right time.

This is definitely not the WHOLE story - not even close.  Once things settle down and I've had time to collect my thoughts, I will share the full story.  But for now, with the doors opening tomorrow (yay!) and a long list of to do's staring me in the face - this is all I got!  I just wanted to document a piece of this moment for you and me :-)  Thanks for following along!
